Also known as Vish, he graduated from the University of Birmingham in 2008 and is the Principal Dentist at Tenbury Dental Centre.
Early in his career, Vish gained extensive experience working with anxious children and adults with special needs during his role in the Community Dental Service. He then expanded his expertise in Oral Surgery as a Senior House Officer in Maxillofacial Surgery at the renowned John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford. This experience further refined his surgical skills, allowing him to excel in complex dental procedures.
Vish has developed a keen interest in dental implants and advanced oral surgery. He works with the market-leading Straumann Group and is committed to providing high-quality implant solutions for his patients. Beyond clinical work, he is passionate about mentoring other dentists in implantology, helping them develop their skills and confidence in the field.
His expertise also extends to cosmetic dentistry, offering treatments such as teeth whitening, smile makeovers, and Invisalign. With a commitment to staying at the forefront of modern dentistry, Vish continuously attends postgraduate courses and incorporates the latest digital technology to achieve natural, aesthetically balanced smiles.
Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, especially his two daughters, who always keep him on his toes. His hobbies include traveling, martial arts, working on construction/renovation projects, and reading books on positive mindset and self-development.
Marcel qualified as a dentist from the University of Birmingham in 1990 and has gained a wealth of experience throughout his career. His passion for dentistry has taken him across the globe, from providing locum care in the remote Outer Hebrides to delivering vital dental treatment in Aboriginal communities in central Australia.
In 2000, Marcel arrived in Tenbury and quickly felt at home—so much so that he has been part of the community ever since. With his vast experience and commitment to patient care, he has become a trusted and well-respected dentist in the area.
Outside of the practice, Marcel enjoys spending time with his family and his lurchers, exploring Clee Hill on his mountain bike, or indulging in his love for nature—often found planting trees and nurturing the countryside.
Also known as Taz, he graduated from Semmelweis University (Budapest) in 2018 before beginning his career in sunny North Devon. Working in high-need areas early on allowed him to gain extensive experience managing complex cases, sharpening his skills in general dentistry while enjoying the beautiful coastal surroundings.
Taz is dedicated to creating a relaxing, stress-free environment for his patients and takes particular pride in working with nervous patients. As a qualified sedationist, he is equipped to provide conscious sedation, ensuring even the most anxious patients receive care in comfort and confidence.
Passionate about minimally invasive dentistry, Taz focuses on achieving excellent results while preserving natural tooth structure. He enjoys the wide-ranging challenges of general dentistry but has developed a keen interest in Endodontics (root canal treatments). He is currently partway through his Master’s degree in Endodontics, further advancing his expertise in this field. Additionally, he is a certified provider of clear aligner orthodontic systems, including Smilelign, ClearCorrect and Spark.
Outside of dentistry, Taz enjoys staying active at the gym, cooking, and running.
Meena graduated from the University of Sheffield in 2022 before returning to the West Midlands to complete her vocational training. She went on to gain valuable experience in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Queen’s Medical Centre, followed by a year in Oral Surgery at Birmingham Dental Hospital. During her time in hospital practice, she developed extensive skills in managing complex surgical cases.
Meena has a particular passion for supporting anxious patients. She is fully qualified in providing dental sedation, helping to create a calm and comfortable experience for those who may feel nervous about treatment. Alongside this, she has completed her postgraduate examinations and is a Member of the Faculty of Dental Surgery (MFDS).
Outside of dentistry, Meena enjoys keeping active, painting, and spending quality time with her family and friends.
Sylvia is a warm, personable and highly experienced dental hygienist and therapist who is passionate about delivering exceptional, patient-centred care. She graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Dental Hygiene and Dental Therapy from the University of Portsmouth in 2022 and has since gained valuable experience working in both practice and domiciliary settings, providing care to patients in clinics, care homes and their own homes.
Sylvia has a particular interest in periodontal health, preventative dentistry and helping patients feel confident in managing their oral health. She is experienced in treating both adults and children, and is known for her gentle, reassuring approach, especially with nervous patients. Her clinical skills include periodontal treatment, restorations, radiography, implant maintenance and EMS Airflow, alongside delivering tailored oral hygiene advice to support long-term oral health.
Before retraining in dentistry, Sylvia enjoyed a successful international career in marketing, events and executive support, working with senior leaders in global organisations including two of the Big Four accountancy firms. She also worked in luxury hospitality across London, Cape Cod, Sydney and Auckland, and notably served as Personal Assistant to Prince Edward within the Royal Household. This diverse background has shaped her exceptional communication skills, attention to detail and commitment to providing a first-class patient experience.
Sylvia brings professionalism, empathy and a genuine passion for helping people to every patient interaction, making her a valued member of the Tenbury Dental Centre team.
